Annecy
ANNECY
Being 15 minutes from the spectacular city of Annecy is an enormous privilege.
The old town will seduce you with the charm of its canals and the banks of the Thiou.
Countless typical shops open their doors to you, along picturesque and colorful streets.
Don’t miss the center of Old Annecy with its churches and their 4 bell towers, the Gardens of Europe, the famous Pont des Amours, the old prison and the Palais de l’Isle, or quite simply the historic Château d’Annecy which dominates the city of Annecy just like its majestic neighbor, the Basilica of the Visitation.
THE EDGES OF THE LAKE
Then join the 40 km of lakesides passing through Veyrier and its church, Menthon and its castle, Talloires and its confidential and charming bay, Doussard, Duingt, Saint-Jorioz and its fine sand beach, to finally reach your peaceful villa of Sévrier.
The beaches follow one another all around the lake unless you are tempted by the cliffs of Roc de Chère and its nature reserve, crisscrossed with magical little paths.
The village of Talloires will offer you something to relax or eat in prestigious establishments such as the Auberge du Père Bise or the Abbey restaurant. This bay, like a green setting surrounding the blue of the lake, stands out like a dream postcard.
Lake shuttles can take you from port to port, from pier to pier, offering sumptuous landscapes at each stage.
GASTRONOMY
You are, with Annecy and its surroundings, in a mecca of French gastronomy.
Several establishments have earned their two macaroons in the Michelin Guide.
We therefore recommend the tables of double-starred chefs like Yoann Conte in Veyrier, Clos des Sens in Annecy le Vieux, Maison Benoît Vidal, Jean Sulpice at the Auberge du Père Bise without forgetting the fantastic menu of the Auberge de Montmin , at the Col de la Forclaz.
Without aiming for the stars, we cannot ignore our various gastronomic favorites. Thus, Le Chalet on the banks of the Thiou and its traditional recipes in a typical Savoyard setting. Also with character, the delicious table shaded by plane trees at Café Brunet in Annecy-le-Vieux.
We love the fish meals at Bistrot du Port in Sévrier or des Tilleuls in Saint Jorioz.
Or at Poisson Rouge, feet in the water in Sévrier.
A REGION OF SPORTSMEN
It is the favorite region for athletes, both in winter and summer.
The winter sports resorts are just a stone’s throw away, it’s true, you are in the heart of the French Alps. The hot spots of skiing and the big names known throughout the world are within your reach.
For other seasons, boating offers sailing and its schools for all levels. Unless you like Stand Up Paddle and its different rental companies, including two in Sévrier.
Of course, canoeing, kayaking or rowing are omnipresent, as are boat rental companies with or without a license.
By bike, you will travel along the roads and byways but also stroll along the wonderful cycle path which surrounds the entire Lake Annecy, punctuated by delicious little bistros for a little snack or a well-deserved break. Bicycle rental companies are at your disposal in each town or village. Sévrier, a few hundred meters from your luxury villa El LAGO, already has two.
Map in hand, you can also hike among the most beautiful forest and mountain landscapes for excursions of all levels and durations.
Among the must-sees, you will climb Mont Veyrier and Mont Baron with a breathtaking view of the lake. Just opposite and on the other bank, it is the Semnoz which will offer you the most beautiful panoramas of Mont-Blanc.
If you like to see things from even higher up, above the sublime Lake Annecy, let yourself be tempted by a paragliding flight from the Col de la Forclaz or by a hot air balloon flight from Doussard.
